Crane Project Updated

Earlier this month I uploaded the final photos and descriptions for the crane project.

I finished the project a long time ago. I just recently got around to fully dismantling the pieces.

    Bummer the turntable did not cope, but still an impressive MOC. You’re truly a master of trusses!

    How did the mechanical winch-brake work? Is it the z8 gears that engaged with the z40? How did you detach the brake?

    Tobbe: Thanks! Yes, the set of 8z gears engaged the main drums and locked them down. It was done by hand-power only, so I had to remember to set them. One thing I want to do in the future (when I build another crane) is to figure out a way to make a winch brake/lock that either engages automatically or is motorized and can be controlled remotely.
